The "Gamer" in us all...

First off, to reconnect on the Scott Pilgrim movie, I can now die happily. That being said I have also found a new joy with listening to my favorite gaming music on Grooveshark.com. I've been listening to 8 bit weapon, Final Fantasy, Zelda, and other classics. Just a little suggestion to get the gamer blood flowing in ya!

Secondly, I have to quickly chat about a couple of items for which I am very excited for.

Woot.com; If you haven't joined, please do! $10 shirts never looked so good, and what makes them look better is no taxes or shipping fees! I can't comment on the fitting but I just placed an order for This Shirt and it's a small so I will let you all know how it looks/ feels. They say they run a little snug so think basic cotton t-shirt style. Either way they have some amazing deals and a new shirt every day, and if you have an IPhone *enter smug look* you can download the free app which allows you to see each new days items very easily. From nerdy to trendy they seem to posses all the above.

GAMES ALERT!
Are you ready for the all-out junk food stocking, energy drink chugging, red-eyed ensuing, holding your bathroom break until you can get to that certain game point fest to begin? Well, you're going to have to. There are some sweet games to look out for but they won't be out for some time. Promoting a video game 2 years before it is released seems to be the new "thing". Either way here are some of my upcoming favorite picks.

PC

Xbox Live (and PS3 network)

These are not all the amazing games coming out, but hey, do your own searching (IGN and G4TV are great sites). Guild Wars 2 may be the end of my life for a while however I'll be working a 7-4pm job at Microsoft so I'll have time! Most aren't coming out for a while however Scott Pilgrim comes out August 10th, can't wait! The music for the game alone is tantalizing (search Anamanaguchi at Grooveshark.com). So someone join me when this chaos begins! Until then Castle Crashers has made a come back in my life along with Grand Fantasia... JOIN ME!

So much to talk about, so little time... good thing Laura started this blog! Talk later everyone!

Ohhhhhh yeah, geeks.
AND NOW, THE GOOD OL' TIMES!
Elysian Pumpkin Fest 09' (you better believe there will be an 10' visit)

Scott Pilgrim vs. Lincoln Square

So on Monday, I'm sitting in the break room at Victoria's Secret, and see these two 4 by 12 inch papers sitting on the table with Scott Pilgrim on them. I almost didn't look at them, since I thought they might just be promotional shit. That would have been one of the biggest regrets of my life. (Only exaggerating a little bit. Seriously.) Anyways, they were admit two passes to the advance screening of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World!

So I bussed on over to Bellevue from UW, got there about 5:10. Kyle and I went to the theater to see how the line was looking. There were maybe 10 people in line. He got in line, I went to go get food. When I came back 20 minutes later, a group of 10 Asian kids had gotten in line before him who hadn't been there when I left. Sad, but oh well. Then, as the afternoon progressed (7pm showing), more and more people kept getting in line in front of us because their friends were there. It's expected, but it went from 10 people (not including the asian group), to 35. Pissed. But we got to see Scott from Sierra Pets, so it's all good.

Anyways, on to the movie.
Easily one of the best movies I have ever seen (up there with Pixar, Tarantino, and Kick-Ass). It was an amazing take on a completely new of a mix of the real world and the world of comics. The pace was great, because it was either lots of action, or lots of humor, and good humor at that. Didn't ever feel slow, even if things slowed down, and those were some of the best jokes I've seen in a long time. Some of them were kind of ridiculous, but not in an over-the-top comedy movie way.

Overall, it was a fantastic movie, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who:
-wants a good laugh
-likes action movies
-likes comics
-likes fuckin' amazing movies!

Getting Started

Hey guys, we're just getting started with our new blog! We'll be posting varying things, from daily fun with the cat, big events, and our reviews (aka opinions) of different products/restaurants/beverages.

Hopefully the little sister (Dori Skinner) will be making her own blog soon, because she's heading off to France next month for a year! So we'll be following her adventures too!

Plans for the rest of the week:

Tomorrow: Kyle has a man date with Kyle Reynolds to go see Inception in the morning.
Friday: be psyched about the weekend.
Saturday: going hiking with the family, going to look for agates with the little cousins! Maybe do poker night later that evening.
